Vijay’s Sherawali temple in Hayward city of US's California has been vandalised with Khalistani graffiti, two weeks after Swaminarayan Mandir in California was defaced.

An image of the temple was shared by a Hindu group, ‘Hindu American Foundation’ on social media platform X.

The post read: “#Breaking: Another Bay Area Hindu temple attacked with pro-#Khalistan graffiti. The Vijay’s Sherawali Temple in Hayward, CA sustained a copycat defacement just two weeks after the Swaminarayan Mandir attack and one week after a theft at the Shiv Durga temple in the same area."

This is the latest in the series of incidents of attacks on Hindu temples in US. Last month, Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Hindu in Newark was defaced with anti-India and pro-Khalistan graffiti on its exterior walls

Condemning the same, the Consulate General of India in San Francisco said the incident hurt the sentiments of the Indian community. “We have pressed for quick investigation and prompt action against the vandals by the US authorities in this matter,” the Consulate wrote on X at that time.

Khalistan supporters have increased their anti-India activities after the death of Canada-based Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) chief Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

Last year in July, India's consulate in San Francisco came under an attack from Khalistan supporters who tried to set the diplomatic facility on fire.
