France's iconic Eiffel Tower on Saturday was evacuated as a precautionary measure after receiving a bomb threat, a French police source told news agency Reuters.
Bomb disposal experts as well as police were scouring the area, including a restaurant located on one of the floors, SETE, the body which runs the site said. Visitors were evacuates from three floors shortly after 1:30 pm (1130 GMT).
