Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe Assassinated During Election Campaign

Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was fatally shot on Friday when he was making an election speech. He was airlifted to a hospital after being shot but could not be saved. Abe was Japan's longest-serving prime minister.
