Former Mrs India winner, Dr ShobhaDevi Nakkana, makes history as she becomes the first Mrs India Crown Winner winner to trek up to the highest base camp of Mount Everest - EBC-8K and stay overnight there. Adding one more jewel to her crown, Dr Shobhadevi became the first Indian woman to complete the trek at 68. She also donated to the Sherpas in recognition of their tremendous efforts, which helps trekkers to ascend safely.
Dr Shobhadevi said that she is enticed by the natural beauty of Nepal and was impressed by the strength the Sherpas showed in trekking and climbing up the mountains. She emphasised protecting Nepal's forests and mountains and said Nepal could be one of the best holiday destinations if preserved from factors like climate change and deforestation.

The natural beauty of Nepal so enthralled her that she has promised to spread the word in support of Nepal's mountain tourism, climate, children in remote areas, women and communication as a part of public awareness programmes.
A winner of many prestigious awards, Shobhadevi is an inspiring figure in the fields of social welfare, beauty and wellness. She received the Mrs India Telangana Super Classic title 2019 and Mrs India Super Classic 2019, becoming Telangana's first-ever national beauty icon. Dr Shobhadevi holds multiple degrees in diabetes, obesity, and mother and child welfare. She works actively with WHO, and being the topmost in her field, she is actively involved in researching and developing cures for obesity and diabetes with the top doctors worldwide. She travels extensively across the world - for medical conferences as her Diabetes research gets presented at international fora like - International Diabetic Federation, American Diabetes Association, etc.
Dr Shobhadevi is very included in her family. She says her family is her strength: "My father gave me solid roots, helped me build my career, my brother always stood for me, and they are my role models. I have two sons, who I can rely on unthinkingly. They are why I have flown so high without ever looking back."
