In times when clothing is the primary mode of expression for the young and old alike, there is immense competition in the fashion space. Building a fashion brand that caters to varied expectations is an incredible achievement that only a few are capable of. Fashion designer and influencer Pooja Mago is one such person who has battled multiple challenges and built a brand that fashion enthusiasts love.

After completing her post-graduation course in garment manufacturing technology from Niift Mohali, Pooja started her career as a fashion designer. It was a small boutique in her house with a workforce of just 2 people. It was 2007 and Pooja loved what she did because she was passionate about fashion. This also led her to start her own kidswear brand. She used the experience that she gained at her internship at Orient Craft Gurgaon to fuel these endeavours.

In 2019, she started a flagship store in Ludhiana. We talked to her about the store and she said that it was a dream come true for her. Ever since she started her small clothing business, she had envisioned a huge store for fashion enthusiasts. She credits her parents, siblings, husband and daughters for supporting her throughout her journey. According to Pooja, she couldn’t have come so far without all the support. She was teary-eyed as she talked about her struggles and how she sailed through them.

She has also been featured in prominent publications, such as Tribune, Punjab Kesari, and Dainik Bhaskar. Pooja’s children refer to her as a committed mom and her customers know her as a dedicated fashion designer. Her success is an inspiration for all women who feel stuck amidst family commitments. Pooja believes that a lot of factors need to align for women to achieve their dreams, but taking the first step is important. She comes from an influential family that is in the bread business. However, she wished to be a self-made woman, and she did it.

We congratulate Pooja for her achievements and wish her luck in the future.
