Divya Behl recently debuted at the Cannes 2022 festival being the woman behind Urvashi Rautela’s astonishing appearance. Rautela was praised by Leonardo DiCaprio himself, the established international actor. Prior to this Divya has also worked on an editorial shoot for Lofficiel, one of the world’s most prestigious and oldest fashion magazines.
A Delhi-based independent make-up artist, Behl runs a booming make-up business called ‘Divas by Divya’. The stunning looks that she created for Rautela stand as a testimony to her talent as a make-up artist. She was extremely delighted to get a chance to interact with the likes of Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, R Madhavan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Tamannaah Bhatia who were present at Cannes.

Divya’s beginnings were very humble. Her mother used to run a beauty salon and she was always fascinated by the work that went around. She would spend time in the salon learning, observing and exploring the different beauty treatments. “ I would always hang around after college and try to learn about makeup. I used to experiment even on myself. So many times it has even gone wrong and my mother and I have laughed about it. But I am so grateful I had that chance to pick up all the nuances from my mother.”
Life and its responsibilities of marriage did not stop her from continuing to learn about makeup. She took up various courses on skincare and makeup from worldwide reputed academies and pursued her love for it. A few years ago, Divya began putting out her work on social media and then there was no looking back. Various tops celebrities and actresses loved her work aesthetics and reached out to her directly. It did not take her long to reach a wider audience as she garnered recognition from a huge clientele of brides. She absolutely loves experimenting and bringing novelty to her work.

Talking about why she thinks her style is distinctive, “ I am a staunch believer that makeup should not be used to change skin tones or hide scars. Everyone has the right to feel comfortable and confident in their own unique forms of beauty. The more the confident a person is, the more the makeup elevates it. I love maintaining the natural tone of the skin just enhancing it the right bit. That’s where the magic lies! ”
Behl is a strong headed businesswoman who loves her work. What keeps her going is the happiness on every client’s face when she transforms them! “That joy is unparalleled.
