'Wonka' has become one of the most-talked about movies. The fantasy comedy-drama, which stars Timothée Chalamet in the lead titular role of Willy Wonka, has gone on to become one of the most popular films in 2023 in Hollywood. After having a successful run at the theatres, grossing over $513 million worldwide, the film has now to come to your homes, on your small screens, much before one would have anticipated.
The BAFTA nominated film has made its mark on Amazon Prime Video, and is available to rent. Directed by Paul King, the movie has brought forth a fresh perspective on Roald Dahl's iconic story 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.' It is the third live-action film based on the author's novel, following 'Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory' (1971) and 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' (2005).

Making an announcement of the OTT release, a month after the film's theatrical release, Warner Bros. UK revealed that the film will be available to stream January 22 onwards.
'Wonka' has now become Chalamet's highest-grossing film, surpassing 'Dune' (2021).
Starring Calah Lane, Keegan-Michael Key, Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas, Mathew Baynton, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carter, Olivia Colman, and Hugh Grant, the comedy film narrates the story of how Willy Wonka became a famous character in the novel. The storyline revolves around a newcomer in town, set to fulfill his late mother's desire by creating and selling chocolates.
