Prime Minister Narendra Modi described Janaki's passing as an "irreparable loss" to music and culture. In a tribute shared on X, it was said by the Prime Minister that her songs had resonated across generations and captured every emotion with unmatched grace and versatility. He added that her melodies would continue to enchant listeners for years to come.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay also paid tribute, saying Janaki had won the hearts of generations through her unique voice. It was said by the actor-politician that her contribution across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and several other languages had left an indelible mark on Indian music and that her demise was an irreplaceable loss.
Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi and film fraternity pay tribute
Rajinikanth offered a brief but heartfelt message, praying for peace for the singer who had delighted generations with her honey-like voice.
Chiranjeevi remembered Janaki as an extraordinary artist whose songs gave life to countless emotions on screen and said her voice would remain immortal for generations.
Kamal Haasan, who shared several iconic songs with the legendary singer during his career, posted an emotional tribute. He wrote that her songs would continue to echo forever and reflected on the irreplaceable love she gave through her music, while extending his condolences to everyone grieving her loss.
