'Will Disha Vakani return to 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'? is a big question. More often, reports of Disha Vakani aka Dayaben or Daya Jethalal Gada returning to 'TMKOC' surfaces online. The latest pic of Disha with the cast of the show has yet again given rise to speculations that she might be back to the longest-running sitcom.
Palak Sindhwani who plays Sonu in Asit Kumarr Modi's 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' shared a picture with the cast on her Instagram handle. The pic is said to be from Dilip Joshi's aka Jethalal's son's wedding. Disha Vakani attended the wedding with her daughter. She was in a red traditional attire. They posed with Palak, Nitish Bhaluni, Manadar's wife Snehal Chandwadkar, Ambika Ranjankar and Sunayana Fozdar. Mandar's wife Snehal also shared a picture of the whole cast posing together for a group pic.

Disha Vakani's Dayaben was one of the most loved characters in the show. She has been missing from it for several years now. Recently, 'Boycott Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' started trending on social media as makers have been making promises to bring back Disha to the show. There were also reports of the show going off-air.
Later, Asit issued a statement clarifying that 'TMKOC' is not going off-air. The statement read: “I’m here to entertain my audience and I will never lie to my viewers. Only due to certain circumstances, we are unable to bring Daya’s character back on time. But, that does not mean that the character is not going to enter the show at all! Whether it is Disha Vakani or someone else, the time will tell. But, it’s my promise to the audience that Daya will be back, and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is going nowhere. It is not an easy task to run a comedy show for fifteen years. It is one of a kind, which has not witnessed a single leap''.

Not only Disha other actors also left the show. Shailesh Lodha, Bhavya Gandhi, Raj Anadkat and Neha Mehta are among others who quit 'TMKOC'.
