Alag could have been like Edward Scissorhands, a poignant exploration of what it means to be a ‘freak’ in an uncaring world. But, it turns out to be just another logic-defying weepie. The bald albino Tejas (Kapoor) hides inside his home because he can’t bear the sunlight. The world intrudes when his father dies. Purva (Mirza) is the ladylove who, unlike papa, is intelligent enough to offer him dark glasses for UV protection! And evil scientist Dyer (Alter) wants him for a guinea pig. Yawn!
