‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ Earns Over Rs 80 Crore; Salman Khan’s ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ Crosses Rs 100 Crore 

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Vikram’s film performs well at the box office, and Salman Khan’s ‘KKBKKJ’ earns decently too.

The Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Vikram film ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ has performed well in India, and has earned Rs 100 crore globally. Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus has certainly been performing well since its release on April 28. After earning around Rs 50 crore in the first two days, the film is said to collect Rs 30 crore on the third day, taking the total of the film at the box office to Rs 80 crore domestically, according to Sacnilk.

With 63.25 percent Tamil occupancy in cinemas, the film has had 20 percent Hindi occupancy on Sunday. 

‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’, the sequel to Ponniyin Selvan, has been adapted from the scripts from Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel of the same name. It also stars Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi, Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, among others.

Coming to ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, Salman Khan’s film, after a slow week, has managed to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in India. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the Farhad Samji directorial minted around Rs 4.50 crore on Sunday, which has taken the total collection to Rs 100.30 crore.

The Salman Khan family entertainer might be able to benefit from a public holiday in Maharashtra on Monday. The ‘Veeram’ remake might be one of the few successful Hindi movies of 2023, after ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar’.

Apart from Salman, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Bhumika Chawla, Palak Tiwari, Siddharth Nigam, Raghav Juyal, Shehnaaz Gill among others.
