The Outlook Group of publications strongly condemns the actions of theTamil Nadu Assembly to order arrest of five senior journalists belonging to theHindu.
This is a direct assault on the freedom of the press and must beresisted by those who value democracy and the Indian Constitution.
We urge the Tamil Nadu Assembly to revoke the arrest order and find some mutuallyacceptable route to resolve the issue.
