Carlos Alcaraz has lit up Wimbledon 2025 once again, and now he’s just one win away from a third consecutive final at the All England Club. The 22-year-old Spaniard will take on fifth seed Taylor Fritz in the first men’s singles semifinal on Friday, July 11, at Centre Court.

There’s a reason Alcaraz is so feared on these grass courts -- he’s already beaten Novak Djokovic in back-to-back finals here. This time, he’s on course for a possible third showdown with the Serb or a blockbuster clash against World No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the final. But first, he needs to get past Fritz.

Alcaraz made light work of Cameron Norrie in the quarters, winning 6-2, 6-3, 6-2. Before that, he came from a set down to take out Andrey Rublev in four.

Spekaing of Taylor Fritz, the 27-year-old American is chasing his first Grand Slam title. He reached the quarters after a walkover win against Jordan Thompson, then got past Karen Khachanov in four tight sets -- 6-3, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 -- to set up this clash with the reigning champ.
