New Zealand cricket team will conclude their tour to Bangladesh with a two-match Test series starting with the 1st Test in Sylhet on November 28, 2023. Speaking ahead of the Test series, Bangladesh will have a new Test skipper at the helm. Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead the team and will become his country's 13th Test captain. "Najmul Hossain will lead the side in the upcoming two-match Test series against New Zealand," BCB cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus said. Vice-captain Litton Das wished to skip the series for family reasons whereas regular captain Shakib Al Hasan is injured that left door open for Shanto to lead the troops.

As for the Kiwis, they have picked a strong squad for the 2-match series. Rachin Ravindra, fresh from his heroics in the ODI World Cup, is part of the squad alongside spin trio of Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi and Ajaz Patel. Tim Southee will be leading the side as Kiwis look to climb up the WTC ladder.
