India had a fruitful Day 4 at the Asian Games 2023, with the shooting contingent, in particular, shining with seven medals -- including two gold -- on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. The Indian contingent will look to keep the momentum going on Thursday, which will be Day 5 of its Asiad sojourn. In wushu, India's Naorem Roshibina Devi, who won bronze in the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, will play the women’s 60kg final early on Thursday morning. This means she has already assured India of a silver medal and will be gunning for gold.

Meanwhile, after a lot of stuttering, the Indian men’s football team have made it to the round of 16 and will take on Saudi Arabia in their first knock-out match of the Asiad. Elsewhere, the men's hockey team will take on Japan, who beat India at the summit clash in the last edition of the Asiad.
