- Born on November 8, 1976, in Wollongong, New South Wales, Brett Lee made his Test debut against India at Melbourne in 1999-00 and odi debut against Pakistan at Brisbane in 1999-00
- Lee is the ninth Australian to take 100 odi wickets. Of his hundred wickets, 65 have come when his team is bowling second
- In April 2000, Lee sent in a delivery at 156 kph in an odi at Johannesburg. Two years later he sent in two deliveries, again in South Africa, which clocked better than 157 kph.
