After the conclusion of the T20I series, England Women's cricket team will be embattled in a one-off Test match against India Women's cricket team at Navi Mumbai from December 14, 2023. The match will be held at Navi Mumbai's Dr DY Patil Academy from December 14-17, 2023. If jogs back their memory, Harmanpreet Kaur was part of the Mysuru Test match wherein she starred with the ball (5/44, 4/41) and will now become country's 12 Test women's captain, and a first since Mithali Raj in 2005.

In nine years, India have played mere two Test matches and have drawn both of them - England at Briston in 2021 and Australia at Carrara later that year. England have hosted the Women's Ashes on regular basis but have not won a Test since 2013/14.
These two teams have faced each other 14 times out of which only three games were not drawn. England's famous win in Jamshedpur in 1995 by two runs and India's famous win in Taunton in 2006 and in Wormsley in 2014.
As for the visitors, they have lost leg-spinner Sarah Glenn due to a fractured thumb and have roped in finger-spinner Kirstie Gordon as her replacement.
