India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first. England then scored 259 in 45.5 overs with skipper Jos Buttler top-scoring with 60 off 80. Pandya claimed figures of 4/24. After a poor start to the chase, India reached the target in 42.1 overs with Pant hitting his maiden ODI century (125 not out off 113). He was involved in a 133-run stand with Pandya (71) to revive India's hopes. India won the series 2-1.
