The Indian Para-Badminton team claimed the sole bronze in Guangzhou 13 years earlier at the Asian Para Games 2010. They increased their medal count to six four years later and then nine in 2018.
As things stand, the Indian Para contingent is fourth in the table, behind hosts China, Iran, and Japan, with 96 medals - 24 of them gold, 29 silver, and 43 bronze.
