It's a strange compulsive masochism that makes some viewers watch programmes with the sole intent of finding minutiae of errors. I look forward to the Channel 4 drama Indian Summers appearing on our screens accompanied by cries of ‘You would never see the Lesser Spotted Shrimp fly in Shimla in December.’

What a pity the selection of old ads on the new Bovril labels doesn’t include the splendid one of the Pope, mug in hand, under the superscription 'The Two Infallible Powers, The Pope & Bovril'? It appeared in 1890, 20 years after the First Vatican Council defined papal infallibility.
