In a synchronized operation on Wednesday, districts including Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Tengnoupal, Kangpokpi, and Imphal West witnessed the retrieval of these illicit arms. The statement issued by the police highlighted the prevailing tension, marked by sporadic episodes of gunfire and gatherings of protesters, underscoring the gravity of the challenges faced, as reported by PTI.

The security forces' efforts extended to the strategic dismantling of six bunkers within Tengnoupal district.
