Republic Day Celebrated Across UP; Governor Anandiben Patel Unfurls Tricolour In Lucknow

The national flag was unfurled at all government offices, important installations, and offices of different political parties with speakers at the events there recalling the contribution of stalwarts whose continued struggle helped the country achieve freedom.

The 74th Republic Day was celebrated on Thursday with patriotic fervour all over Uttar Pradesh with the main function being organised before the Assembly building here with Governor Anandiben Patel unfurling the national flag.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with his ministers and officials attended the function in Lucknow and also witnessed the parade here. Besides the Army, paramilitary and police force, school students also took part in the event and put up a cultural show. 

Two T-90 tanks, ICB-BMC Saarth, an armoured recovery vehicle, a network operation centre, two 105/37 mm light field guns and a 7.62 mm medium machine gun mounted on a vehicle were the highlights of the parade. As many as 19 tableaus of different schools and government departments, and special performances by artistes from Chhattisgarh and Arunachal Pradesh added to the attraction of the event.
