Odisha: Goods Train Derails 3 Days After Balasore Tragedy, No Casualties Reported

Odisha sees another train derailment on Monday, a goods train reportedly derailed in the Bargarh district. The train was carrying limestone in it.

According to reports, five bogies of this goods train have derailed near Mendhapali of Bargarh district in Odisha.

A railway spokesperson told the media, "The limestone-carrying goods train on a narrow gauge is privately operated from the mining area to a cement factory. It doesn’t belong to Indian Railways."

This derailment happens three days after the triple train tragedy in Balasore that caused the lives of 288 and more than 1000 injured people, making it one of the deadliest accidents the country has seen.
