Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday laid the foundation for the Hare Krishna Movement's Heritage Tower here and announced Rs 25 crore donation towards its construction.

Speaking on the occasion, Rao appreciated the Hare Krishna Heritage Tower project and expressed his happiness in participating in the programme.

He said the organisation has maintained excellent quality of service and worked relentlessly to support the government during the Covid-19 pandemic and other emergencies.

He also said temples, bhajans and kirtans are the best medicine for various problems faced by people in the modern age.

Asserting that no religion promotes hatred, Rao said religious ignorance leads all human beings into madness.
