For over a decade, Sai Supriya Sharath has worked across technology, healthcare, venture investing, and animal welfare. Today, those experiences have come together in a single mission: helping humans understand and care for animals in a fundamentally different way.
As Co-Founder and CEO of Hoomanely, Sharath, alongside co-founders Harshal Hinger and Vipin Ravindran, is building AI-native health intelligence infrastructure for animals, designed to enable early disease detection, personalized care, and a future where animal health can be understood through continuous behavioral and physiological signals.
"Animals communicate constantly through their behavior and physiology, but we've never had the tools to understand those signals at scale," says Sharath. "Hoomanely is building the infrastructure and intelligence layer that makes that possible."
Sharath spent her career in growth roles across technology and healthcare before incubating Ungarble, an AI speech technology startup, for Deepgram. She went on to become the founding General Partner at Carya Venture Partners, where she backed early investments into companies such as Cradlewise, Augmental, Shinkei Systems, and Coop Tech, alongside enterprise SaaS and infrastructure AI startups.
Alongside, Sharath founded In Kind Only, a US nonprofit supporting grassroots animal welfare organizations across Southeast Asia, working directly with veterinarians, shelters, researchers, and NGOs on the ground. Hoomanely is the convergence of everything that came before: deep technology, venture investing, and years spent on the ground in animal welfare.
Hinger brings nearly two decades of operating experience across Tata Docomo, Practo, Zomato, Avantor, and WhiteHat Jr, with a track record spanning market launches to managing global hypergrowth environments. Ravindran, an engineering leader with more than twenty years of experience building large-scale systems, previously served as VP of Engineering at BYJU'S Group, leading teams powering tens of thousands of daily live classes, and earlier co-founded Neorithm, whose platforms were deployed across five countries and more than 140 banks.
Hoomanely's progress is further supported by a stellar advisory board spanning veterinary medicine, insurance, animal health, artificial intelligence, and consumer technology, reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of the category the company is helping create. It is headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, USA and has its R&D team in Bengaluru, India
Early Traction, Growing Adoption
Hoomanely's first product, EverBowl, is now being commercially offered for dogs as a complete health check at every meal and sip. It captures subtle behavioral and physiological signals during feeding, turning routine moments into continuous health visibility without requiring any change in daily habits.
Demand has already outpaced availability, with a growing waitlist of pet parents seeking access.
Alongside EverBowl, the free Hoomanely app has grown to more than 8,000 pet parent users globally with strong weekly engagement around health, behavior, and everyday care. At its core sits a conversational AI built specifically for animal health rather than a general-purpose chatbot retrained for pets, complemented by a community layer that captures real-world knowledge from pet parents, veterinary technicians, and practitioners.
Under the hood, the platform has already logged thousands of hours of labeled behavioral data across feeding, hydration, acoustics, and temperature signals, with early success in identifying dental issues, infections such as tick fever, kidney-related abnormalities, and treatment tracking for chronic conditions including Cushing's disease.
Across its deployed systems, Hoomanely now collects and analyzes more than a million animal health data points every month. The underlying platform is protected by multiple patents filed across sensor and AI infrastructure.
"Pet parents shouldn’t have to carry the burden of vigilance about their pet’s health nor look for answers only when something goes wrong," says Sharath. "They need the confidence that comes from knowing, every day, that their animal is okay at all times and when to act before a sign becomes a symptom."
Beyond Pets
While companion animals remain the company's immediate focus, Hoomanely's longer-term vision extends to farms, ranches, and livestock operations through low-cost, on-premise AI infrastructure designed for low-connectivity environments.
The company's filed intellectual property has already attracted interest from potential partners looking to extend the architecture to horses and cattle.
For Sharath, the bigger opportunity lies in understanding what animals have always been communicating.
"Every animal generates an extraordinary amount of information every day," she says. "For centuries we've lacked the tools to understand it. AI finally gives us that opportunity."
As Hoomanely prepares for its next phase of growth and fundraising, the company is positioning itself at the intersection of artificial intelligence, animal health, and preventive care.
"This isn't about building another device," says Sharath. "It's about creating the infrastructure that allows animals to be understood, cared for, and protected in ways that simply weren't possible before."
