Actor Kalidas Jayaram got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Tarini Kalingarayar in a private ceremony in Chennai. The news was announced by the actor on social media. The pictures of their engagement have gone viral on social media. Tarini is a model and the former Miss Tamil Nadu 2019 and Miss Universe India 2021 3rd runner-up.
Kalidas shared a couple of dreamy pics on his Instagram handle with the caption "We got engaged (sic)." For the special ceremony, the couple wore colour-coordinated outfits. Kalidas was in a pastel Indian attire whileTarini was in a lehenga of the same colour. She completed her look with a heavy necklace, maang tika and bangles.

Kalidas and Tarini's engagement was attended by their close family and friends. Their industry friends, director Sudha Kongara, and actresses Bhavani Sre, Aparna Balamurali, and Megha Akash among others marked their presence.
On the work front, Kalidas Jayaram was last seen in Pa Ranjith's 'Natchathiram Nagargiradhu'. He will be seen in 'Indian 2', 'D 50', and 'Aval Per Rajni'.
