The makers of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan’s upcoming movie ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ are planning to postpone the release date. The film which was supposed to release on April 14, might be pushed for a Diwali weekend release.
The film was earlier scheduled to be released on April 14, which would have clashed with actors Yash and Sanjay Dutt’s 'KGF: Chapter 2'. According to a report in BollywoodLife, the film is going to be released on a different date as the makers have observed that actor Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ overpowered actor Ranveer Singh’s ‘83’ despite releasing a week prior to the latter.

The report further states that the final leg of work is left and the team apparently feels there might not be enough time left to wrap up post-production, especially with all the VFX involved.
Further, it added that the makers are now looking for a release window either side of Diwali weekend, though now bang during Diwali weekend as actor Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathan’ is expected to hit the theatres then.
As reported by Mashable, Aamir Khan had earlier said,"Before I finalised the date, I profusely apologised to the producer, director and lead man of KGF Chapter 2. They understood my viewpoint and were good enough to ask me to go ahead in spite of their film releasing on the same day. I was very touched by their gesture.”

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is a remake of the Hollywood movie ‘Forrest Gump’, and it will be directed by Advait Chandan. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya play pivotal parts in the film. Currently, the movie is set to be released on April 14th, 2022.
As reported by Filmfare, Chaitanya had said, “I"m very excited. I can"t wait for you guys to catch it in the theatre. Whatever we"ve shot has come out so well. I"m really excited about it. The team is really excited about it. So, can"t wait for you all to see it.”
Chaitanya further added, “The way they have adapted it to our Indian culture and our Indian sensibilities is what intrigued me the most when I heard the script. They"ve covered some really important events down our timeline.”
‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ marks the Bollywood debut of actor Chaitanya.
