Ayushmann Khurrana is back with 'Dream Girl 2' to tickle the funny bones. 'Dream Girl 2' also featuring Ananya Panday opened with a double-digit number at the box office. It earned Rs 10.69 crore on day 1. On the second day of its release, it made a whopping Rs 14 crore as reported by Sacnilk. So, the total collection of the film stands at Rs 24.69 crore.
'Dream Girl 2' is expected to surpass the Rs 25 crore mark by Sunday. Among all locations, Chandigarh recorded the highest occupancy rate at 56.25%, while Surat had the lowest occupancy rate at 21.25%.
In a press note, Ayushmann expressed his happiness on 'Dream Girl 2' opening with good numbers on its first day. As reported by PTI, he said in the statement, "It feels amazing to deliver my career’s best opening with Dream Girl 2. Dream Girl is a franchise that has given me a lot of love and I’m really happy with the start that Dream Girl 2 has got at the box office''.

Directed by Raaj Shaandilya, the film is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures. It also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Vijay Raaz, Annu Kapoor, Seema Pahwa, Manoj Joshi, Abhishek Banerjee and Manjot Singh in pivotal roles.
