Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday starrer 'Dream Girl 2' hit the theatres on August 25. The movie created a lot of buzz before its release and it had a good start on Day 1. It opened with a double-digit number and is expected to mint well in the coming days.
Ayushmann himself shared the Day 1 collection of 'Dream Girl 2' on his Instagram handle. It has earned Rs 10.69 crore nett at the box office. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the film had an overall 29.51% Hindi occupancy on Friday. The movie has received positive responses from critics and audiences alike. The actor thanked everyone for giving him his 'life's biggest opening'.

'Dream Girl 2' is the story of Karamveer aka Karam (Ayushmann), who falls in love with Pari (Ananya) and wants to marry her but her father (Manoj Joshi) has one condition. Karam must pay off his father Jagjit Singh's (Annu Kapoor) loan and have a good future so that he can keep his daughter happy. For this, Karam disguises as dancer Pooja but problems never end and chaotic situations are created.
'Dream Girl 2' is the sequel to' Dream Girl' that was released in the year 2019. It earned Rs 10.50 crore on its first day, and was the biggest hit of Ayushmann’s career, with Rs 142 crore, as per a report in Bollywood Hungama.

Directed by Raaj Shaandilya, 'Dream Girl 2' is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures. Apart from Ayushmann and Ananya, the film also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Vijay Raaz, Annu Kapoor, Seema Pahwa, Manoj Joshi, Abhishek Banerjee and Manjot Singh in pivotal roles.
