New Delhi, 12.05.2026: Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), Hyderabad, to strengthen collaboration in the areas of research, innovation, and skill development related to Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Warehousing.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri Praveen Kumar, Managing Director, DFCCIL. The agreement was formally signed by Shri Shobhit Bhatnagar, Director (Operations & Business Development), DFCCIL, and Dr. Tamma Koti Reddy, Vice Chancellor, IFHE.
Convened by Sh. S. P. Verma, GGM/BD&BA, the MoU signing was attended by Sh. Anurag Sharma, Director/Infrastructure; Sh. Pawan K. Rai, Director/Project Planning; Sh. B. Mugunthan, Director/Finance; Sh. Parmod Kumar, CVO; Sh. Prafull Chandra Pandey, ED/System; Sh. Roshan Singh, GM/OP&BD; and Sh. Nagendra S. Bisht, JGM/BD&PR. Representatives from ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, including Dr. M. Sai Nath, Executive Director; CA. C.V. Chainulu Viswanadha, Advisor; Dr. C. Radha Mohan, Dean; and Sh. Sri Ravi Kumar Gujjala, also attended the signing ceremony.
DFCCIL, a member of the International Heavy Haul Association, has collaborated with ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education owing to its strong research-driven ecosystem in logistics, transportation systems, and emerging technologies. Through its technical research initiatives, including IcfaiTech, the institution undertakes specialised work in areas such as robotics, AI, data analytics, and vehicle dynamics, which can be applied to modern railway technologies. These areas of expertise hold significant relevance for modern railway technologies, smart freight operations, and the future development of India’s logistics and transportation infrastructure.
Officials present at the event stated that both organisations will work towards creating a long-term framework for collaborative initiatives in the areas of research, innovation, technology integration, and professional skill development related to Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Warehousing. The partnership is aimed at strengthening industry-academia engagement and promoting research-driven solutions to address the emerging challenges and opportunities in the freight transportation and logistics sector.
Aligning with the vision of the Skill India Mission, the collaboration will focus on designing and delivering specialised short-term training programmes, executive development modules, and certification courses on emerging technologies for personnel of DFCCIL, thereby supporting the development of a future-ready workforce equipped with industry-relevant skills and technological capabilities.
The officials further highlighted that both institutions will jointly organise workshops, seminars, conferences, innovation forums, and knowledge-sharing sessions to facilitate the exchange of research findings, technical expertise, industry insights, and global best practices.
