Lucknow, May 25: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated and extended best wishes to the eminent personalities who received the Padma awards. President Droupadi Murmu honoured personalities for their outstanding contribution in various fields in New Delhi on Monday.

Through a post on his social media account ‘X’, the Chief Minister also congratulated violinist N. Rajam, who was conferred with the Padma Vibhushan, and the family members of late film actor Dharmendra Singh Deol.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote on ‘X’ heartfelt congratulations to renowned researcher and dedicated Ayurveda practitioner Dr Kewal Krishna Thakral for being honoured with the ‘Padma Shri’ in the field of medicine by President Droupadi Murmu.

CM Yogi wrote, “Your six decades of dedicated work, development of revolutionary techniques like ‘Karn Vedhan’ for bronchial asthma treatment, and research work that gave global recognition to ancient Indian medical systems are invaluable assets for humanity.”

CM Yogi said that it is a matter of great pride that Uttar Pradesh’s renowned kala-azar expert Prof. Shyam Sundar has been honoured with the ‘Padma Shri’ for outstanding contribution in the field of medicine.

He wrote, “By developing the first effective oral medicine for kala-azar treatment and rapid diagnostic testing, you have made a historic contribution to medical research and human service. This honour is the nation’s respectful expression towards your dedication, research and service spirit. Heartfelt congratulations.”

The Chief Minister congratulated Uttar Pradesh’s pride Dr Ashok Kumar Singh for being conferred with the ‘Padma Shri’ for outstanding contribution in agricultural science.

He wrote, “Your innovative work in the development of advanced paddy varieties, agricultural research and farmers’ welfare gives new energy to the resolve of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. This proud achievement is a matter of joy and pride for the entire country.”

The Chief Minister congratulated senior physician Prof. (Dr) Rajendra Prasad for being honoured with the ‘Padma Shri’ for remarkable work in the field of medicine.

CM Yogi said, “Your selfless and dedicated service over the last five decades in the treatment of TB and MDR-TB is commendable. Giving new life to lakhs of patients and your outstanding contribution towards public health is a matter of great pride for the entire nation. This honour celebrates the highest values of service, dedication and humanity in the medical field.”

The Chief Minister congratulated Uttar Pradesh’s pride Prof. Buddha Rashmi Mani for being conferred with the ‘Padma Shri’ for remarkable contribution in the field of Indian archaeology and preservation of cultural heritage.

He wrote, “Your tireless efforts in the revival of our sacred heritage sites like Ayodhya and Sarnath, and in establishing Indian culture on the global stage, are a source of inspiration for every citizen. Salute to your exceptional contribution.”

The CM congratulated and extended best wishes to Uttar Pradesh’s Paralympic gold medallist and the youngest para high jump athlete to win consecutive Paralympic medals, Praveen Kumar, for receiving the ‘Padma Shri’.

The CM wrote, “This historic achievement is a bright source of inspiration for the youth and para-athletes of the entire country, including Uttar Pradesh. Your dedication, struggle and discipline have brought pride to India on the global stage.”
