The Supreme Court today approved new worship norms for Lord Mahakal Temple in MP's Ujjain, and RO purified water will now be used for 'jal abhishek'.
The apex court said RO water to be used for 'jal abhishek'.
The court's move came after the 'Ujjaini Vidwat Parishad' had said that the Shivling shrunk due to excessive “bhaang shingar” and panchamrit.
The SC approved norms made by authorities in this regard.
