In an extremely bizarre incident, an audio clip of a porn film was played on the loudspeaker in the Kuzykent neighbourhood in Kastamonu province of Turkey.
The incident took place around 1 am in the morning on March 23, according to a report by Hurriyet Daily news.
The local security officials suspected the frequency was intercepted by hackers.
However, some social media users speculated that municipality workers forgot to turn off the announcement system of the loudspeaker while watching a porn movie.
Condemning the incident, Tahsin Babas, the mayor of the town has ordered an investigation in the matter.
"The unmoral provocation that had been conducted by intercepting the announcement system of our municipality and heard in certain spots in our Kuzeykent neighborhood has no relation with our institution. The necessary legal processes will be launched as soon as possible for those who are responsible for this unmoral act and we apologize to our precious fellow townsmen for this situation," Mr Babas says on Facebook according to Hurriyet Daily News.
