The last two champions of Serie A, Napoli and AC Milan, went toe-to-toe at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in one of the games of the season, which, to the delight of the neutrals, finished 2-2. Milan led by two a third of the way into the first half, courtesy of a delightful double by veteran striker Olivier Giroud. Napoli, however, were rewarded for their persistent efforts when Matteo Politano and Giacomo Raspadori pulled them level on the other side of the interval. Napoli’s summer signing Natan saw a red card late in the game, albeit that didn’t alter the outcome of the match.
