Bulgarian striking ace Teodora Kirilova is forecasting fireworks in her atomweight Muay Thai clash with Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak at ONE Fight Night 34: Eersel vs. Jarvis on Prime Video. The 34-year-old is looking to claim her first win on the global stage.

Kirilova joined the world’s largest martial arts organization with a perfect professional record, only to suffer her first career loss to Israeli standout Shir Cohen at ONE Fight Night 20 in March 2024.

Now, after more than a year of intense training tailored to ONE’s unique Muay Thai rule set, the 34-year-old is ready to showcase her true capabilities when she steps into Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, August 1, live in U.S. primetime.

Kirilova said:

“The fight really will be a firefight. It will be a really interesting fight between us. Never mind that I have more experience and I am older and she is younger – that is in your mind when you want to fight with knockout.”

Standing across from her will be “Supergirl,” the Thai prodigy who burst onto the ONE Championship scene as a highly touted 16-year-old sensation.

The Jaroonsak Muaythai product made an immediate impact by scoring two straight victories in Muay Thai that highlighted her explosive style.

After that, she switched to kickboxing, but her rise was interrupted by former three-sport ONE World Champion Stamp Fairtex, who handed “Supergirl” her first promotional loss in a fast-paced, back-and-forth contest.

Jaroonsak followed up her loss to Stamp with a convincing win over Lara Fernandez, using her well-timed knees to control the action. But in November 2023, she was stopped in the first round by Cristina Morales at ONE Fight Night 16.

Now that the Thai phenom is returning to “the art of eight limbs,” Kirilova knows that kind of setback can sharpen a fighter’s focus – and she expects Jaroonsak to step into the ring with a huge chip on her shoulder.

The Bulgarian veteran stated:

“It will be a real firefight and interesting, in which I will win. To score a knockout will be the greatest thing. Maybe in the second round.”

Kirilova Ready To Prove Her Elite Credentials

Teodora Kirilova is well equipped to showcase her true striking prowess against Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak at ONE Fight Night 34, with her confidence backed by a full year of preparation focused entirely on adapting to ONE Championship’s distinct brand of action.

The Bulgarian veteran admits her promotional debut revealed gaps in her approach. Although she had dominated the European scene with multiple titles across Muay Thai and kickboxing, she wasn’t fully prepared for the small gloves and fast pace of ONE.

She explained:

“That was very new for me then, because I didn’t train with small gloves and didn’t fight with these ONE rules. I didn’t know what to expect, but now I know what to expect and I’m training for that.”

The defeat pushed Kirilova to reevaluate everything. She spent the following months training in Thailand, including a stint at Fairtex, while also continuing to refine her game at home in Europe.

The changes have made a massive difference:

“I am very, very confident now because I really trained one year only for this – for these rules and with the small gloves. Now I know what to do. But before the first fight I didn’t know what to do. I just went in the ring and said, ‘Okay, I will fight,’ but with no strategy. Now I know what to do.

“I really want to show that I deserve to be in ONE Championship. I really did a lot of work last year. I didn’t stop training and did a lot of camps – in Thailand, Fairtex, and other camps in Europe.”
