New Zealand left-arm pacer Trent Boult amassed his sixth 5-wicket haul in ODIs during their match against England on Wednesday.

By doing so, Boult surpassed New Zealand great Sir Richard Hadlee to claim the record of most five-wicket hauls by Kiwi bowler in the 50-over format.

Boult provided a jolt to the England team by scalping two early wickets during the 3rd ODI at The Oval in London. Having opting to field first, England were 13-2 but Ben Stokes and Dawid Malan put on a 199-run stand for the third wicket as they sent the Kiwi bowlers to corners of the park.

Southpaw Malan could not muster up in what could have been his fifth ODI ton after Stokes had reached his fourth century in 93 innings.

Stokes's blistering knock of 182 off 124 guided England to a massive 181-run victory over New Zealand in the third ODI match on Wednesday.

Thanks to his brilliant innings, Stokes took home the 'Player of the Match' award. England lead the series 2-1 with a match to go.
