Tribals in the Araku Valley in Visakhapatnam district have scored with the organiccoffee they grow. The demand in Europe for 'Araku Emerald' is growing. The organic version is the only Indian coffee to have received the "Fair Trade Certification" since itcomplies with stringent international standards. Orders from Norway, UK and France have already come in. The tribals, supported by the Coffee Board and the ngo Naandi Foundation, hope to bag huge orders which will keep 8,000 tribal families busy.
