Before deep-diving into the world of beauty and makeup, Deepti was in the field of media and entertainment. She even worked in an advertising agency until her maternity break ignited her passion for beauty and makeup. Mohindar’s growing interest in makeup and the science behind it inclined her towards becoming a full-time makeup artist. Her journey in the beauty industry began in 2006 after attending the program of celebrity makeup artist Corry Walia. The in-depth experience that the makeup artist has is a result of her certified course from the coveted Toni & Guy Academy in Kuala Lumpur. In addition, Deepti Mohindar has undertaken short-term training from global beauty brands like Moroccan Oil, Olaplex, L’Oreal, Schwarzkopf, Skeyndor and Global Keratin. Deepti’s expertise is in hairstyling and bridal makeup, and she is known as a reputed airbrush specialist. With an experience of more than a decade, she has weaved magic with her makeup brush for celebrities, influencers and fashion designers.
More so, she has been empanelled with TEMPTU, USA, and is educating budding makeup artists globally. In 2013, Deepti Mohindar started her salon called Studio MeCHE in Kolkata. As Deepti continues to have a loyal clientele across India, she is looking forward to establishing a new brand under her name in Dubai soon. Catering majorly to women for hair & makeup services, pre-wedding shoots and fashion photo shoots, Mohindar’s team educates grooming schools in different fields where makeup is a part of the curriculum.

While airbrush makeup remains the primary focus of Deepti’s team, she says, “Consistency is the key. We understand the requirements of our clients and provide them with services that meet their expectations. More so, every makeover done by us is unique from our past works.” Utilizing social media efficiently, Deepti Mohindar’s Instagram page ‘@deeptimohindarofficial’ is home to some of her best makeovers.
So far, she has styled many well-known celebrities and artists like Richa Chadha, Arslan Goni, Vindu Dara Singh, Lisa Haydon and Shibani Kashyap among others. In her spectacular career, Deepti Mohindar has been awarded the FICCI FLO Award for Makeup Artist of the Year 2019 and the Zee Award for Best Businesswoman of the Year 2019. On the work front, Deepti Mohindar is exploring different horizons as she plans to start her beauty and makeup academy overseas in the coming year.
