Close to 51 serving bureaucrats and 44 retired senior officials of the GoI will be wielding the clubs this month in a special tournament. The main event, it is learnt, will be sponsored by Coke and Emirates, the dinner to follow will be backed by Bacardi. Just the right thing to ensure the men who are serving the country, or have served it in the past, have a blast. The list of participants doing the rounds include civil aviation secretary Ajay Prasad, MEA secretary Ashok Jha, Planning Commission deputy chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia, home secretary Vidon Duggal and ex-cabinet secretary T.S.R. Subramaniam, TRAI chief Pradip Baijal to name just a few.
