In preparation for the Republic Day parade rehearsal on January 10, the Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory for residents, cautioning them about routes to avoid in the national capital.
The advisory indicates that traffic will be disrupted on various routes, particularly in central Delhi, from 7 am to 11:30 am on January 10.
During this period, citizens are advised to steer clear of Vijay Chowk, Rafi Marg-Kartavyapath crossing, Janpath-Kartavyapath crossing, and Man Singh Road-Kartavyapath.
"Due to Republic Day Parade rehearsal, kindly avoid Vijay Chowk, Rafi Marg-Kartavyapath crossing, Janpath-Kartavyapath crossing, and Man Singh Road-Kartavyapath crossing from 0700 Hrs to 1130 Hrs on 10-01-2024," stated the Delhi Police in their advisory.

Meanwhile, traffic was also hit on Ring Road in the carriageway from Moti Bagh towards Safdarjung due to the breakdown of a hydraulic crane on the Rajnagar flyover, said PTI.
Notably, French President Emmanuel Macron will be the chief guest at the 75th Republic Day Parade on January 26 this year, marking the sixth time a French leader has been invited to preside over the Republic Day celebrations in Delhi.
