BJP Leader Bhajan Lal Sharma Is The Next Chief Minister Of Rajasthan

The announcement of Bhajan Lal Sharma's appointment as Chief Minister was made by BJP's Vasundhara Raje, whose name was also among contenders for the top post.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially declared Bhajan Lal Sharma as the new Chief Minister of Rajasthan, following their victory with 115 seats out of 199 in the recent assembly elections.

Sharma, a first-time MLA, emerged victorious in the Sanganer assembly seat during the elections, securing a substantial lead by defeating Congress's Pushpendra Bhardwaj with over 48,081 votes.

The announcement of Sharma's appointment as Chief Minister was made by BJP leader Vasundhara Raje. Notably, Raje's name was also in consideration for the top post, but the party ultimately chose Sharma for the role.

Sharma, currently serving as the BJP's state general secretary, is known to enjoy strong backing from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Rajasthan is set to have two deputy Chief Ministers - Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa.
