Regional divide

North: Good news for India’s bread basket (Haryana, Punjab andWestern UP). All three regions receive 7 per cent to 22 per cent more rainfall thannormal.
South: Just touching the normal mark except Kerala where monsoon is weak(-25%)
East: Excess to normal all over the region
West: Exceptionally good rains in drought-hit West Rajasthan and Gujarat
