Khushi Kapoor And Ibrahim Ali Khan Team Up For Karan Johar's Next-Report

Reportedly, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor have signed the dotted lines and will be shooting for the project by Karan Johar next year.

Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi's younger daughter Khushi Kapoor has recently made her big Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar's 'The Archies'. As per the latest report, she will star opposite Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's son, Ibrahim Ali Khan in a Karan Johar film. Yes, you read it right! The report also states that they have said 'yes' to it.

There have been rumours that Ibrahim will make his debut under Karan Johar's banner with the remake of the Malayalam film 'Hridayam'.  Ibrahim worked as AD (Assistant Director) with Karan in 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani'. 

A source told Pinkvilla that Ibrahim and Khushi have signed the dotted lines and will be shooting the film next year. It is said to be a rom-com and will be released on OTT. “It’s being planned as a direct-to-digital project to be produced by his digital wing, Dharmatics. The film will go on floors next year and will be directed by Shauna Gautam. The makers are in talks with a leading OTT player for streaming rights," said the source.

The source also added, ''It’s one of those romantic comedies that Hindi Cinema is known for. However, Karan and co. feel that the palette of narrative fits better for the OTT than the big screen. It’s planned and will be executed as an OTT original''.

Meanwhile, Khushi has been getting appreciation and love for her performance in 'The Archies'. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film also starred  Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda who also made their debut with the film. Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda were also part of the cast.
