Returning after a year of hiatus, right from its star-studded ‘grey’ carpet to its historic wins, the 80th Golden Globes was a night that was truly missed by the audience! Celebrating the glorious year of entertainment with films and series such as ‘The Banshees Of Inisherin’, ‘The Fabelmans’, ‘Abbott Elementary’ and ‘White Lotus’ won big. The night also honoured talents including Austin Butler, Zendaya, Angela Bassett, Julia Garner, Ke Huy Quan and Steven Spielberg among others.

Jerrod Carmichael made history as the first black host of the Golden Globes and kept his audience in hoots with his witty jokes and sharp humour. Talking about the tremendous progress of the LGBTQ+ community in Hollywood, Ryan Murphy gave an empowering speech while accepting his Carol Burnett Award and dedicating it to the many people he has worked with in front of and behind the screens, the likes of Niecy Nash, Matt Bomer and Jeremy Pope among others.

‘Naatu Naatu’ From ‘RRR’ Making History As The First Indian Film Song To Win At The Golden Globes

Breaking all the records in a row, SS Rajamouli’s box-office hit ‘RRR’ cemented itself as a strong contender for Oscar 2023. In a proud moment for India, the Telugu song ‘Naatu Naatu’ won the award for Best Original Song, defeating many big names on the block. It became the first Indian film song to receive an award at the Golden Globes. Receiving the honour, composer MM Keeravani gave an emotional and heartfelt speech and went on to thank his family and the cast and crew of the movie.

Selena Gomez Walking The Carpet With Her Little Sister

Selena Gomez won hearts and made us all go ‘aww’ as she walked the carpet with her little sister. ‘The Only Murders In The Building’ actress also hung out with Wednesday star, Jenna Ortega and had us all fangirling over the duo. Both the Golden Globe nominees were seen catching up like old friends, a conversation we would all have loved to have been part of.

Jennifer Coolidge’s Hilarious Oscar Flub And ‘White Lotus’ Win

It was a major night for ‘White Lotus’ star and Golden Globe winner Jennifer Coolidge, who absolutely nailed it every time she stood behind a microphone. As she presented the award for a Supporting Role in a TV series, Coolidge made a funny blunder while talking about how hard it would be to remember her lines while presenting the award and said: "the Oscar goes to..." making the audience crack up with laughter and cheer for her as she immediately realised her mistake. That’s not all, Coolidge also won Best Supporting Actress - Television Limited Series/Motion Picture for ‘White Lotus’. The ‘Legally Blonde’ actress joked about the award being ‘too heavy’ as she accepted her first Golden Globe.

Eddie Murphy’s Hilarious Acceptance Speech For The Lifetime Achievement Award

For his remarkable body of work, Eddie Murphy was awarded the Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 80th Golden Globe Awards. After thanking his family and collaborators during a staid acceptance speech, the ‘Dr Dolittle’ actor took a swift jab at Will Smith, as he ended the speech with "Just do these 3 things: Pay your taxes, mind your business and keep Will Smith's wife's name out of your f***king mouth!” The audience was left rumbling with laughter as he walked off the stage.
