The makers of R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu, and Babil Khan- starrer ‘The Railway Men’ recently unveiled the trailer of the tale of heroism and hope during the darkest hours of the gas leak tragedy in Bhopal. ‘The Railway Men’ is based on the employees of the Indian Railways in Bhopal, who rose against all odds to save people during the fateful night of December 2, 1984. Certainly, ‘The Railway Men’ is a celebration of the indomitable spirit of humanity.

In the world of entertainment, heroes often wear capes, but in ‘The Railway Men’, one gets to see ordinary individuals attempting a heroic feat by going beyond their call of duty, trying to save the lives of hundreds of citizens. Against the backdrop of the world’s worst industrial disaster - The Bhopal Gas Leak, these characters, while fictional, embodied strength, resilience and selflessness serving a powerful representation of the unsung heroes.

Iftekaar Siddiqui

Iftekaar Siddiqui, portrayed by Kay Kay Menon, embodies duty and redemption. Upright and straightforward, Iftekaar Siddiqui, the stationmaster of Bhopal Junction is a no nonsense leader who rises to the challenge with unyielding determination on the fateful night of the Bhopal Gas Leak. Meet an ordinary man who evolves into an extraordinary hero, through Kay Kay Menon's remarkable performance.

Rati Pandey

Rati Pandey, masterfully portrayed by R. Madhavan, is the fearless General Manager, Central Zone of the Indian Railways. Known for his unshakeable resolve and a reputation for handling disasters with unwavering nerves, he became the guiding force during the unprecedented calamity in Bhopal Junction. R. Madhavan's performance breathes life into Rati Pandey, a leader who ensures help reaches his fellow railwaymen timely.

Imad Riaz

Imad Riaz, portrayed by Babil Khan, is the young, inexperienced loco pilot, driven by a mission to bring justice to the memory of his deceased friend. As the Bhopal Gas Leak unfolds, he finds himself in a situation that requires him to rise above his own inexperience Witness Babil Khan's compelling performance as he transforms Imad into a symbol of resilience in the face of adversity. 

Constable Balwant Yadav
