Jammu Deputy Commissioner Avny Lavasa's statement comes a day after people resorted to stone-pelting during an anti-encroachment drive in Upper-Narwal Sunjuwan area of Jammu city.
The attack, in which a CISF assistant sub-inspector was killed, took place just two days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
The encounter in Sunjwan took place amid heightened security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir, two days ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit to Samba district.
