Gauff, 19, showed off her grit and determination on the Arthur Ashe Stadium court to claim a resounding 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 win in 2hr 6min over the new world number one. The sixth seed from Florida hand come into the final as the underdog but after her famous win, Gauff will be crowned as the new world number 3 in the latest rankings.
