Months ahead of the “biggest sporting spectacle” in the capital, an army of labourers set up camp in the capital to build a “21st-century” Delhi. Their children, left behind in temporary shelters while they toiled for meagre wages, watched a new city rise from the rubble, unaware of the legacy that their parents were building for future generations.
