Today, he is admired by a multitude of people, but was it easy to get this fame?

Hailing from Delhi and being an engineering student, it was undoubtedly tough for DJ Johnnie Ernest to find his place in the industry. He had to overcome several barriers. Speaking of which, he says, "I would be lying if I said it was easy to be a DJ. While there was already a horde of artists amusing the crowds with Bollywood songs, I wanted to try a different genre. The mob wasn't enlightened back then, and thus it took a long time for them to accept the genre that I loved playing."

DJ Johnnie further added how tough it is for an emerging independent artist to get shows. He says, "I didn't play directly at the biggest festival and went on international tours. It all started with small shows. A rising artist has to overcome several difficulties in the process of making his name, and getting good shows is one of them." DJ Johnnie Ernest started his journey by playing at different weddings in Delhi. From pre-wedding to post-wedding celebrations, he has slayed it all!

The artist is also held in high regard for launching his own music albums. Talking about his first release, DJ Johnnie says, "After the continual hustle of three years, I finally was able to release my first music single, and it felt beyond words." His first track, Vans was released by the famous international label called EDM House network.

In today's date and age, DJ Johnnie Ernest has released many tracks, including Excuses X Love Nwantiti which has amassed 10 million views. He has performed with international artists like Marshmallow, The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, DJ Snake, Hardwell, Afrojack, Like Mike, Dimitri Vegas, etc. and has spun the disc on the biggest platforms like Sunburn, VH1, and more.

DJ Johnnie Ernest has also done international tours to Korea, Europe, Bangkok, and Bali. He says, "Every field has challenges that will try to take you down. But you should keep the flame of your passion burning high! This will help you overcome all the barriers."
