Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun his two-day visit to Mauritius. The Indian leader received a warm welcome at Port Louis by his Mauritian counterpart Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam and the Indian diaspora.

During his visit to the close maritime partner nation, PM Modi will also attend the island nation's 57th National Day celebrations as the guest of honour.

PM Modi In Mauritius | What's On Agenda?

The prime minister is on a visit to Mauritius at the invitation of PM Navin Ramgoolam. During his visit to the country, Modi will oversee the signing of multiple agreements aimed at strengthening cooperation in capacity building, trade, and efforts to combat cross-border financial crimes.

During this visit to "Mini India", Modi will also inaugurate two key projects - the civil service college and an area health centre - both which have been built with India's assistance.

The senior BJP leader will also attend the 57th National Day celebrations as the Chief Guest. A contingent of the Indian Army will be participating in the celebrations, along with an Indian Navy warship and the Akash Ganga skydiving team of the Indian Air Force.
